Who is it for?
This program is for you if...
You are new to recovery
Your appetite went unexpectedly out of control when you began to diet. You often continue to crave food even after you have just eaten, and frequently find yourself eating way more than you know your body needs.
You want to get your appetite back to “normal” and regain control over how you eat, but you are not sure where to begin. You need a practical guide to overcoming binge eating and reassurance that your appetite is not irreparably damaged.
In four weeks... You’ll have begun the process of retraining your appetite. You’ll have a clear understanding of what causes urges to binge and a roadmap for eliminating them completely. You will feel empowered and in control of how you eat.
You have made some progress but would like to go further
You have been in recovery for some time now. You’ve seen a therapist or found a method that allowed you to decrease the frequency and intensity of your binges. You have made a whole lot of progress but still continue to binge intermittently.
You want to cross the threshold from being “in recovery” to being “recovered”. You are looking for something to take you to the next level and help you quit binge eating completely.
In four weeks... You will have overcome your most powerful binge urges. You’ll have gained practical tools to resist urges EVERY TIME and a concrete strategy for eliminating binge eating altogether.
You have recovered and relapsed
You recovered. You put in the work and managed to quit binge eating for an extended period of time. You were doing so well until...Covid 19 put you in social isolation, you lost your job, experienced a bad breakup, or were hit by any other of life’s stressors. Suddenly you got stuck in a bad cycle of binge eating and now feel more lost and discouraged than ever.
You need support to rebuild your self esteem and confidence in your own recovery. You want to regain recovery momentum and learn a method that ensures you will stay binge free even when life gets stressful.
In four weeks... You will feel confident and in control of your recovery process. You will have renewed recovery momentum and a strategy for confronting your triggers and preventing relapse. You will have replaced helplessness and shame with confidence and self compassion.
You have been battling an eating disorder for years (or decades)
You have been struggling with food for years, perhaps cycling between restrictive dieting and binge eating. You've tried to quit so many times, and have had some "good days", but you keep falling back.
You are looking for something more than what you have already done. You want a recovery strategy that will allow you to reverse the patterns you've been stuck in for so long.
In four weeks... You will have a practical system for eating in a balanced way. You will understand the three reasons why you have been unable to quit binge eating thus far and will have already begun the process of reversing them. You will have renewed confidence that your past does not predict your future.
This program is for anyone who wants to quit binge eating for good and is willing to devote 30 minutes a day for four weeks to their lasting recovery.
Who is it not for?
This program is not for you if...
You are unable to devote 30 minutes a day to your long-term health and well-being. Recovery is an investment requiring time and energy. We promise it’ll be well worth it!
You are hoping for a “lose weight fast” fix. During the initial stages of recovery, it is critical to eat sufficient amounts at regular consistent times throughout the day. This rebuilds your body’s trust in you and reduces urges to binge. Weight fluctuations are very common during early recovery especially if you have a history of purging or food restriction. Once your appetite has stabilized, your body will settle at a weight that is healthy for you.
You are outspokenly anti any form of dieting or intentional weight loss. Though we do discourage intentional weight loss during early recovery, we do not monitor or silence talk about weight loss. Instead we acknowledge the validity of each person’s individual health choices and help support you in the goals YOU set for yourself. If you feel triggered by what someone else shares, we encourage you to acknowledge your own feelings without discrediting another person’s experience.
You are medically underweight. Malnourishment can have health ramifications that we are not equipped to address. Please see a qualified health professional.
You believe that the only way to quit binge eating is by healing your deepest traumas. This program focuses on the HERE and NOW rather than exploring the past. We help you undo the direct, immediate causes of binge eating and quit for good without decades of therapy.
Having said all of that, one thing we can guarantee is that if you practice the recovery skills you learn in this program daily, you will dramatically decrease urges to binge and improve your relationship with food. Dropping destructive eating habits will put you in a better place to make food choices that feel healthy for YOU, improve your body image, and heal any past hurts.
Our only objectives are to free you from binge eating and empower you to follow through on the goals you set for yourself. If that sounds like what you are looking for, we’d love to have you.

Things I learned made so much sense and I have been able to take actionable steps towards stopping binge eating
-AMANDA
I feel like I might actually get a handle on my BED after this program. Which is tremendous to even just THINK like that. Things I learned made so much sense and I have been able to take actionable steps towards stopping binge eating. While doing this program I’ve had the longest stretches of not emotionally eating or binging in a LONG long time - at least 10 years. I’m comforted by the notes provided and I’m learning that I really have to love and care for myself first to prevent and stop the mistreatment of my body.
I've gained so much of a better relationship with my body than I could have imagined
-MIRIAM
I feel so much happier with my body even when I eat and am full which normally would make me crazy that I look and feel so big in that moment. I've gained so much of a better relationship with my body than I could have imagined and that's really what I wanted to get out of it. Doing the work of the program and working on a meal plan which is based on getting enough nourishment instead of restricting, changed my view of my body from self hate to one of self care.
Four years binge free and zero urges
Seven years ago I was caught in an endless cycle between restrictive dieting and multiple thousand calorie binges. During this time, I gained more weight than I cared to and felt helpless, hopeless and ashamed.
I read, and practiced, tens of books on eating disorders, addictions, various forms of psychotherapy and eastern healing methodologies, until I discovered the approach that allowed me to recover completely.
Now, I eat intuitively, have zero urges to binge (even when stressed and distracted), and feel at peace with my body.
The secret to binge free living
During my struggle with binge eating, I spent a lot of time trying to understand why my appetite was so out of control and how I could MAKE the urges go away. I went to therapy, revisited past trauma, quit restrictive dieting, and much much more. And still, my urges to binge remained uncontrollable.
Finally, I discovered a simple truth that enabled me to recover completely: THE ONLY WAY TO QUIT BINGE EATING IS BY NOT BINGE EATING.
I know, very profound. Thank me later.
There is a rule of habit called “extinction”. Extinction means, when you don't engage in a habit for an extended period of time, the habit goes away. When you don't binge eat for long enough, the urge to do so goes away.
How then, do you not binge eat for long enough?
That is the question this program will answer.
Why are binge urges so difficult to resist?
They defy logic. You can think of one million reasons why you should not binge eat (it’s unhealthy, you will gain weight, you’ll feel sick afterwards etc. etc.), and then go right ahead and binge anyway.
When you fight an urge to binge, it fights back. And it fights hard. Until your energy begins to wear thin and you cannot hold out any longer.
Urges grab more of your attention than anything with which you could possibly distract yourself. You try going for a walk, taking a bath, listening to music or talking to friends, but the urges are so powerful, it becomes difficult to devote your full attention to anything else. And there is only so long you can keep up the distractions...
They make you miserable UNTIL you give in. When you try to resist an urge to binge, you feel restless, agitated, tense and just downright uncomfortable. When you finally let go and give in, you feel a brief period of sweet relief.
They are persistent. You may get a break from urges for a day or a week, or even a month. But they always ALWAYS come back and try again.
They strike at the times when you feel weakest. You are doing SO well. But then the pandemic hits and you find yourself without a job and without structure, you experience a bad breakup, your body changes or any other of life’s many stressors comes your way, and suddenly you are right back to binge eating.
They make it impossible to trust your body’s natural hunger and satiety signals. You may try to eat intuitively, but the urges to binge allow you to eat 2000+ calories in one sitting and still feel unsatisfied.
The BEDemystified Recovery Program is a systematic guide to becoming stronger than your urges to binge eat. Stronger to the point that you no longer need to fight, distract yourself or attempt to reason with them. You become able to win over the urges any time and every time with no exhausting battle. With time, the urges grow weaker and then disappear completely.
